Q: What are the best materials for mulching around plants and walk areas? Does clean straw work or is it too messy?
A: Clean straw is good for mulching. It is a bit more messy especially if you are doing it everywhere including the walkways. We prefer mulching with compost around the plants and wood chips in the aisle ways.
