Q: I am trying to schedule seed starting for a number of perennial crops such as oregano, thyme, and medicinal, perennial flowers. How can I bypass the harvest dates function? also, your program doesn't distinguish between cold and warm-season crops relative to crop seed starting and planting dates. So, for example, my frost date is May 13, but kale can be planted around April 15. tomatoes, on the other hand, can't be planted safely til June 1. Ok, I see that if I select a category in the dropdown menu it gives the correct seeding date by cold/warm season. But I can't get the program to do this when I manually enter a crop--like perennial thyme. That should be planted in April (like kale) and then neither cultivated nor harvested. In my case, I'm using it for cabbage moth control, not eating. Also, is there a way to remove cultivation entirely? It mucks up the calendar. I'm a no-till gardener so wouldn't dream of cultivating. Can that category be removed somehow?

A: We don't have a way to delete or remove a harvest task for a specific crop yet. We will have that ability in the future. For now, you can set the harvest window for 1 day, or set it so far out in the future that it doesn't show up. I'd encourage you to watch our quick start video guides here: https://help.seedtime.us/, especially the ones on adding/editing crops and on sorting/filtering which will cover how you can turn off cultivating tasks.
